Located in the heart of the Vendée Haut-Bocage, 8 km from Puy du Fou, in the immediate vicinity of the village, the Château de la Flocellière was already mentioned in documents from the 11th century.
A magnificent medieval keep and a wing of the old orangery dominate a park planted with century-old trees.

A thousand years of history
As history buffs, we take pleasure in telling you about the key events of the Château de la Flocellière during a private tour. From the Middle Ages to the present day, our story is punctuated by anecdotes from poets and great men who have shaped the history of the castle. Our book "Le Château de la Flocellière", on sale at the reception, will satisfy your curiosity about many other aspects of this rich monument.
Our
Overlooking the Bocage Vendéen, our castle, surrounded by hills, woods and ponds, will delight nature lovers. After an energetic breakfast, linger in the alleys of our parks and gardens where styles and eras intermingle. Our 10 hectares of greenery are home to medieval ruins and century-old trees. When you return, there's nothing like sunbathing by our swimming pool or enjoying a complimentary glass of Crémant de Loire served in the grand salon.
From the castle to timeless shows
Our castle is located a few kilometres from the famous Puy du Fou park. To make your stay easier, we will take care of printing out the day's programme and advise you on the unmissable shows. If you don't have a means of transport, we can book a taxi for you.
For a couple's getaway
Stroll hand in hand through our park, discover the medieval ruins, the hundred year old trees and take a romantic trip on our boat. In the evening, we welcome you in the large lounge to taste a glass of crémant de Loire. Upon reservation, we can prepare a candlelight dinner.
From garden to plate
To complete your immersion in château life, we take pleasure in concocting a refined dinner inspired by our family recipes. The unique menu, served in the historic dining room, is made up of fresh produce from our vegetable garden and Loire wines carefully matched to the dishes offered. Our dinner is by reservation only.
