Château de Miguillaume

An 18th-19th century castle, in Directoire style, in the middle of its park of century-old trees

Located in the Chambois plain, on the edge of the Gouffern forest, the 18th-19th century Miguillaume castle, in a Directoire style given by Louis François Alexandre Goupil de Préfeln, was made a baron of the empire for his support of Napoleon, today gives it a proud appearance in the middle of its park of century-old trees.  Its proximity to the Haras national du Pin as well as the beaches of Normandy complete its assets and its rich historical past as a diplomatic resort since the 1900s.

In 1912, the Minister of Persia, His Exc Samad Khan Momtazos Saltaneh stayed there.

To have fallen under the spell of this Château in the fall of 2021, we have undertaken renovation work to give it its old appearance and reopen this place to our guests whom we welcome in rooms and table d’hôtes.
