Château de Pierreclos
Historical castle located in the center of the vineyard, on a rocky spur, close to Solutré
Pierreclos Castle is a private historic monument located between Cluny Abbey and the large site of Solutré.
In the middle of the vineyard, on a rocky spur, a chapel was first built which became a parish church in 996. The castle appears in texts in 1282, when the lord pledged his castle to the Duke of Burgundy.
It is a stronghold which has survived wars, the French revolution and was transformed over time into a pleasure castle.
Pierreclos is steeped in history and tastefully furnished to receive our guests.
We will also have the pleasure of introducing you to our wines and the many riches of the region.

From the vine to the glass
Winegrowers since always, we offer to our guests a commented tasting of 3 white wines and 1 red wine. This is an opportunity to discuss our know-how and our ecological commitment as our wines are organically grown. The Mâconnais and Beaujolais wine route (further south) will allow you to discover the local appellations, and to meet the winemakers directly at their estate: we will be able to recommend our favorites. A trip that will delight both novices and seasoned wine lovers.

Today we live there, maintain it, and like to transmit its history to our guests, with the access to the historical visit offered for all reservations of one night. Welcoming you allows us to share our memories and anecdotes, but also to inform you about the hidden treasures of South Burgundy: Discovering the South Burgundy Castles Route, the Romanesque Churches, the Abbey of Cluny ...

Family gatherings are welcome at Pierreclos which can accommodate 15 people with its 2 family suites and 3 bedrooms.
