Only 1 km from the spa town of Bagnoles-de-l’Orne, the Château du Gué aux Biches is beautifully situated on a hill in a private natural park of 13 hectares. If you are looking for peace and quiet, our castle surrounded by the Andaines Forest and in the heart of the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park, will delight you.

Søren and Klaus warmly open the doors of their house full of history, where famous authors such as Paul Féval and Alexandre Dumas have lived. The new owners wanted to create a unique and friendly place where they are now looking forward to welcoming you. The 3 rooms and 2 suites that make up the château have been completely restored and refurbished.

To combine the experience of staying at the chateau with exploring the region, Søren and Klaus are happy to lend you bicycles to visit the town and the surrounding area.

Gîte "Maison Ines" open from April 1 to October 41 in the former gardener's house. Minimum stay of 7 days.

• Breakfast with croissants, fresh baguette, local jams and cheeses, eggs, yogurt and honey from our own hives, fruit juice, coffee or tea.

Location

• By plane: from Paris Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and rent a car at the airport (265 km from the castle).
  Another flight to Caen-Carpiquet airport and rental of a car at the airport (90 km from the castle).
  
• By TGV to Le Mans (120 km from the castle) or Laval (60 km from the castle) and car rental.
  
• By train from Montparnasse station (Paris): direction Granville, from Argentan or Briouze station, take the shuttle to Bagnoles de l'Orne.
  
• By car: the castle is located 50 km from Alençon. From Paris, direction Le Mans, then Alençon and direction La Ferté-Macé via the D2 and the D908.
